A MEETING FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS WILL BE HELD AT THE STROUDSBURG HIGH SCHOOL
CAFETERIA ON SATURDAY, APRIL 26, 2008 AT 10:00 A.M. PLEASE PLAN ON ATTENDING
THIS VERY IMPORTANT MEETING.
The successful operation of this year's Pocono Mountain Run For the Red
Marathon will need help from more than 1,000 volunteers. Please consider
helping make this event successful!
Volunteers should contact the American Red Cross at 570-476-3800.Volunteers
are needed in the following categories.
Water & Gatorade Stations - Volunteers at each of the 13
stations along the course
Start of Race - Volunteers to help organize the start of the
race
Registration - Volunteers to help man the registration table
from 9am-5pm on Saturday, May 3, 2008
Runner’s EXPO – Volunteers to help with the set up, tear
down, and running of the Runner’s EXPO on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from
8am – 6pm
Pasta Party – Volunteers to help with the set up, tear down,
and running of the Pasta Party on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 4pm –
9pm.
Late Registration - Volunteers to help man the registration
table from 6am – 9am on Sunday, May 4, 2008 to accommodate registration
problems
Finish of Race - Volunteers will be needed to help runners at the
end of the race with a variety of assistance
Set Up at Tear Down at Start of Race and End of Race - Volunteers
to help with all aspects of the set up and tear down at the start / finish
of the race. Volunteers will be needed both Saturday, May 3, 2008 and Sunday,
May 4, 2008
