The 2012 Pocono Mountain Run for the Red Marathon promises to be bigger and better than last year!
YES! We are an official Boston qualifier!
To better accommodate our marathon and marathon relay runners, the start of the race has changed to a larger venue. This year the race will begin at Pocono Mountain West High School. It is located off of Route 940 in Pocono Lake. The school is larger and has more room for runners to stretch and use bathroom facilities prior to the start of the race. There is also plenty of parking if runners are planning to have family and friends cheer them on at the start of the race.
Runners will be provided with complimentary bus transportation from the Stroudsburg High School stadium to the start of the race beginning at 6:15 am on race day.
Please note there is no transportation back to the start of the race upon conclusion of the marathon. All runners should take advantage of the buses to the start and park at the Stroudsburg High School stadium where the race will end.
Important Information regarding Packet Pick Up for Bib and Timing Chip!
Packet pickup for the marathon is scheduled for Saturday May 19th from 10 am until 5 pm at The Quality Inn.
For those who want to pick up their packets on race day, May 20th, there is a $25 fee. Packets will be available for pick up at the start of the race beginning at 6am.
