Is there transportation to the starting line?
Yes, runners can park their cars at the race finish, the Stroudsburg High School Stadium, and take a bus to the starting line.

Buses leave the high school stadium at 6:30am, or as soon as they are filled.

Will there be bathroom facilities at the start of the race?
Yes, the Clear Run Elementary School will be open and runners can use the bathroom facilities inside the building.

Are there bathroom facilities along the course?
Yes there are portable bathroom facilities located every few miles along the course.

How many water stops are located along the race?
There are water stops every two miles. Every water stop also includes Gatorade.

Are there first aid stations along the course?
Yes there are two first aid stations along the course, in addition an ambulance and numerous race officials are monitoring the course for runners who may need assistance.

Can I pick up my bib and timing chip the morning of the race?
Yes, but it is highly recommended that you arrive at the start of the race by 6:00am to ensure you are ready in time.

Are there many hills along the course?
The course has a steady downhill grade for much of the 26.2 miles, however there are definitely some hills, remember we are in the Pocono MOUNTAINS!

Do you give out "Goody Bags"?
Yes we have lots of great items for all the runners.

When and where is registration?
Registration is set for Saturday, May 3rd from 10am until 5pm at the host hotel, Quality Inn in Stroudsburg. While there be sure to check out the Runner's EXPO.

What time is the Pasta Party?
The pasta party runs from 5pm until 8pm at the Quality Inn in Stroudsburg, and runners can enjoy all the wonderful food for FREE!

How much does it cost for my family to eat at the Pasta Party?
The Pasta party is $7.00 for all non-marathon runners.

Are you having a Runner's EXPO?
Yes, the Runner's EXPO will coordinate with registration. Both happen on May 3rd from 10am until 5pm at our host hotel, Quality Inn in Stroudsburg.

Is there a cost to enter the Runner's EXPO?
The Runner's EXPO is free and we encourage everyone to bring the family!

Can my friend run part of the course with me to help keep me going?
To keep the race as safe as possible for all runners, the course is closed to anyone not registered and wearing a bib.

Can I ride my bike along the course?
No wheeled vehicles are allowed on the course.

Can I qualify for the Boston Marathon through this race?
Yes the Pocono Mountain Run for the Red Marathon is officially recognized by the Boston Marathon, Good Luck!

Is the race electronically timed?
The Pocono Mountain Run for the Red Marathon using official chip timing. Each runner will receive a chip during the registration process.

Will photos of the race be available for purchase?
Photographers will be stationed at various points along the course and at the finish to catch as many runners as possible. Photos will be available through VIP photos. You can find out more through the link on our website.

Will there be food at the end of the race?
We will be providing lots of great fruit and snacks to the runners at the end of the race, along with water and Gatorade.

How much of the money raised goes to the local American Red Cross?
All of the money raised goes directly to help the local chapter of the American Red Cross cover Disaster Relief efforts.
